Forging Connection

Travel habits have changed over the past few years, people have changed too and there are many factors influencing this. It’s nothing new. We are taking note, though, of groups of friends wanting to travel together, or those who ask to travel with others to make friends.

The world is faced with a loneliness epidemic of massive proportions and it’s something that’s not only worth mentioning but something that needs solving. By offering small group travel, hosting this and making the journeys care-free, we aim to not only see people engage with one another but also enjoy an optimal experience whilst doing so.

We do not necessarily believe in ‘the more the merrier’ concept in terms of group size, as people have different styles when it comes to traveling and catering for all tastes in a time-capsule can be challenging. We do believe in getting people together with similar tastes and travel preferences to offer them the opportunity to experience a journey with friends in a manner they would not be able to by themselves, regardless of how organized they are, because of our expertise. Traveling in a group brings joy through shared experience and doing so without the limitation of worry is freeing.

Care-free and hosted luxury travel

Because you’re traveling in a group and do not want the worry of what to do, where to go, how to get where you’re going, constantly thinking about random things like currency, accommodation, transfers, safe foods or spaces, and what you might be missing in an allocated time, takes away from an experience that should be dedicated to rest, joy, stillness and rather just taking in your surroundings.

Small group travel is ideal as you share a lot and experience the same things in different ways. This leads to discussion about life and business in general (as like-minded travelers) and forges social and business connections while your daily travel itinerary is taken care of by lux advisors and hosts, leaving you rested, feeling cared for and connected. Is this a luxury? For sure. Is it worth it? A great topic but from where we’re operating, we’ve not heard an inverse opinion regarding the freedom this type of luxury travel option brings.

The connection-luxury

In the stillness and wide open spaces, where animals roam free, and nature dictates the time, one is confronted with the realization that, regardless of a world dictated by quick change, development and ever ready solutions to each question or need, good things still take time, proper friendships are still forged through age-old methods of trust, reliability and empathy, and connection is something we all need, strive for and often seamlessly commit to when confronted with its best option put to us.

There is something deeply moving when taking note of the rhythm of nature, watching its unperturbed daily routine, filled with its own obstacles. It speaks of deep-rooted resilience, a trait to be admired.

When being privileged to observe this with friends or new acquaintances, discussion usually ensues. Connection surrounding a deeply moving experience is formed and often remains. It is something that cannot be broken as this shared moment is yours to keep, forever. It’s a gift, a secret you share, an unseen luxury buried in the hearts of those who get to experience the stillness and allure of nature’s wonder together.

In the fast-paced world we live in, where loneliness is rife, commitment is rare, and still wonder at anything, without it becoming a post on a social platform almost doesn’t exist, Golf Air encourages all who travel with us to go the extra mile in terms of taking a moment to enjoy each African sunrise and sunset, to really smell the soil and take in every minute of joy your journey presents.

Enjoy rest. Feel the connection. Love the luxury. It is yours for the keeping…
